We place our kits at highly trafficked beaches in Mendocino
TMMP is starting with beaches and hoping to take the project into other parts of the community. The kits will be in waterproof mounted boxes with the bleed kits in removable packages that can be easily brought over to the person in need.
Learning about bleed control through hands on education
Chloe is a certified Stop the Bleed ® instructor. She will teach classes locally to anyone interested in learning more! The Minutes Matter Project is not currently teaching classes as part of the organization. Hopefully in the future that will be possible! We encourage everyone to check out classes near them. Unfortunately, one never knows when one may come across a bleeding victim, whether it be a shark attack or gunshot wound. It’s important to know how to control a bleed.
We continue to monitor and track the kits!
As a non-profit, this is where we will rely on our amazing volunteers! its a lot of work driving up and down the coast frequently checking the boxes, but with our amazing community we can have people check the boxes while they are already at the beach!
